You can make one but these engines are not made for cranking out power due to some cooler air in the intake. you should not need to fool a sensor since you will need all the ones that attached or else it will not even run for you.

I wasn't so much looking for a power gain but a little gain in MPG. I have done this to other cars I have owned with good results and was wondering if any one has tried it with a RR...
not sure if they make one, but u can go to autozone or pepboys and make one yourself, they sell pieces u can put together yourself. Stick a K&N on it and you're all set
If you were lucky, at best, you might gain about 1/4 MPG, only on the road, not with in town driving.
Save your money for something that can help.
What have you done so far to try and improve your mileage?

Best way to increase mileage is make sure your tires are at the proper air pressure. Second is to not start it. Lol
I was thinking of a snorkle, but only in case of an accidental dunking. Of course if I ever went that deep and soaked the electric and leather I'd probably drown in tears. So I guess it doesn't matter. ;-)

Well so far I have done nothing to incress my MPG. I was going to start there because it so simple and there is a little gain. What other HP and or MPG mod are there. As my name says I am new to the Rover game....

Proper tire inflation, possibly e-fans, easy on the skinny pedal, drive 55 mph everywhere you go... A good overall tuneup will help a lot, the 60k mile tuneup is somewhere on the forum. Get a scan tool and diagnose all your engine codes, even if the check engine light isn't on yet. Some have reported gains with a Volo fuel saver chip as well. Should be enough to keep you busy for a while.
