I have been a long time LC fanatic, but recently have converted to the right side. While I was on the LC forums there was a modification sticky that I really liked. They had a couple of threads, one was for the best mod under $100 and another one was for the best and worst mod. List your best and worst mods and why. The best, well cheapest mod, I did was switching out all the interior lights to LEDs. Provided a much better and brighter light and did not drain my battery. Great for camping.
I'll bite, my mesh grill, like $7 and a couple hours. Coupled with putting my offroad lights in the grill, which cost me nothing, by far my favorite "mod".

Lights look AWESOME back there! Might have to copy you!

There are a world of salvage parts you can pull yourself for less than a Ben Franklin that in some cases are worth adding to your spares shelf - like an alternator, etc.
Another good interior mod is the Ultra Gauge, which lets you (and the programmed alarm point) keep an eagle eye on coolant temp and other items. About $70. Pix submitted by a member with a D2.

My favorite would be the junkyard D1 CDL linkage $5.00
Nice, got any with them on your truck? Is that grey or black?
