Your worried about weight of sliders???? Steel ones aren't too terribly heavy and will hold up a lot better and be way cheaper. Plus the weight you do add is down pretty low.

My sliders weigh a metric ***-load. If you have access to Aluminum I would say go for it. But the aluminum is going to be way softer than steel and may not actually slide as well.

Default D1 Slider CAD file

Find the attached IGES file I put together based on the information in this thread. I'm no industrial designer and was even less of one when I first made this, so forgive any mistakes!

At some point I'll probably start over with better cad technique and emphasis on ease of assembly.


Also if someone feels so inclined to return the favor - I'm looking for a CAM facility to cut out another file of mine: an engine swap adaptor plate.

Default Rocksliders to fit D2

Hi, Can anyone confirm if these rock sliders in the drawings will fit a 2004 Discovery 2? All references I see are for D1, thanks
