Default Disabling the anti theft feature in discos

Is there a way to take the anti theft garbage out of the loop??

Recently a fuse blew, the electric locks wouldn't work and the truck thought it was being stolen and shut down.

This is a stupid feature that could leave you stranded at anytime....is there a way to get rid of that anti theft feature??

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the year and model you are talking about.

Wink

I wish it was as simple as a battery.........the meter with the engine running was 14.5 VDC, so the battery and alternator are just fine.

I did discover something interesting (as i solved the problem).

It turns out that the anti theft fuse (removed or blown) ALWAYS disables the power lock fuse, which makes it impossible to use the power locks.....you need those power locks to manipulate the anti theft feature (and disable it)....and that could leave you stranded UNLESS you have the extra fuses, and the fuse block layout....

Anyway this 97 is back and error free, PLUS i found a missing A/C fuse, and replaced, and now i have artic air in truck.....which is great, because this truck is for sale

Currently I have all discos, a 94, a 96 and a 97...I'm working on 2 more deals with 99 discos, but both deals have problems.......I would LOVE to see a defender somewhere in my time zone with a decent price....does anyone know of a place to buy cheap defenders??

I just need to know how to D/L the fuseblock diagram file for 94-99 discos....I have the files to do it...I just need a little instruction on how to upload it somewhere for all to see.....thanks to all who replied!!

The anti theft fuse controls alot of things so its possible its anyone of these circuits leading back to it.

sometimes in line fuses works wonders in finding the issue.
