Default Flowmaster 44

What are your opinions on the Flowmaster 44 muffler for our cars? I got a good deal on Fleabay for a new old stock muffler (paid $62 versus $88 normal price).

This Disco sounds sweet!!! Just want to know if anyone has experience with drone with this muffler and if so, how bad is it.

I run the Super 44, nice low tone at idle, has the classic flow master burble when slowing to a stop off the gas. A lot quieter than my old 40 series. Cab noise is minimal at highway speeds too.

I think it will be a good muffler then. Are you running any cats? Sweet ride by the way, the leds are tastefully placed. What bumper do you have?

Thanks man. Previous owner hollowed out the cats, looking to swap some new ones in the near future. The bumper is a custom made setup.

Hey guys I'm bumping this thread again because I'm trying to distinguish which is the resonator and muffler on the D1. When you look under the truck I can see the large (what i believe to be) muffler in between the rear of the truck and the front of the vehicle. There is another smaller muffler (what I believe to be the resonator) that is connected to the exhaust tip, at the rear of the vehicle. I'm assuming the larger one is the muffler, no? Every vehicle is different.

Can someone please clarify this for me. Also, which one would get replaced with the Flowmaster 44. I think I'm gonna try to install it myself with band clamps.

Thanks

Thanks

That is correct. Muffler is in the middle of the vehicle, resonator at the back by the tip. Flow master 44 will replace the middle muffler, but when I did mine I removed the resonator and replaced with a pipe as well.

Thanks for the swift reply ImNotTheStig. I'll probably leave the resonator on though, and I plan on adding some high flow cats because I think mine are shot. Do you think an exhaust dump would be a good idea on these trucks?

It would be a waste to do the exhaust dump
