Default mods for 33x12.5 swampers?

I'm going to a rover campout and trail ride at the end of the month, and I have a set of 33x12.5 super swampers that i'm probably gonna need.

What kind of mods do I need to do to my disco II to clear these tires just for the week, that I can easily return to stock after the ride. ( coil spacer lift, remove fender trim, brake line extentions, etc.. )

Like I said, i'm not planning to do any major, or permanent reconstruction, and I plan on returning it to stock when I get home. I like the ride, and don't usually need such an aggressive tire.

Thanks,
Jimmy

That's not going to be anything that you can easily return to stock. For that I think you'll need about 4 inches of lift and some pretty massive wheel spacers. But to put in 4 inches of lift you'll need new drive shafts and a whole mess of other crap. Not to mention your steering geometry we'll be completely ruined. 32s are the biggest tire you can fit easily, but you need a thinner tire.

My tires now are almost 31x10.5 on stock suspension, and NEVER any rubbing.. But they're not as aggressive as the swampers..

I've seen some posts where 33" mickey thompsons have been put on with 3" lift. I've got anaftermarket front bumper, giving me a little more space. I'm probably gonna have to put them on and see exactly what I need.

I don't really care about the steering on swampy, muddy trails. But driveshafts are out of thequestion, If I need to do all of that, I'll trade these for a smaller set.. maybe swamper ltb's.

i think on a d2, youll just need at least 2" of lift, bigger bump stops, and a little trimming. im running 35x12.50 with 4" but still need to trim more.

Thanks for the info.. If it requires any trimming i'm gonna scratch that idea.
Unless...
The trimming can be hidden by putting my fender flares back on???

It will never happen, especially on a temp basis. Not sure who you are trying to impress but it isn't worth it.
You will need a 3" RTE lift, drive shaft modifications shocks No lift spacers, they are by the way the biggest waste of money out ther and then a set of off set wheel spacers, probably an 1 1/2".
I have friends in our Solihull Society , Colorado Rover Club, that have done this, it is neat when done and very expensive to do.

Not trying to impress anyone. On the trails down here, you're basically driving through swamps, deep water, with no bottom.. Without some extremely aggressive tiresyou end up hooking up a rope with a floorboardfull of water!! Guess i'll just have to buy a jeep to do some real playing..

........just kidding, [8D]don't get your panties all in a bunch..
