Default Replacing throttle body heater plate in my 2000 Disco II

how do i remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body without taking it out of calibration or breaking it? I have to replace the throttle body heater plate, gasket and throttle body gasket. I will also flush the cooling system.it does not look like a difficult job. I want to do it myself rather than pay my technician....another dime.

I just removed the MAF and valve/intake hose to access.
Used a 1/4"drive, think was a 5/32" socket, picked up at Sears.
Do not overtighten! I snapped a screw and had to start all over again.
