Hi every one my name is Alexan and I am currently a 2004 Disco II SE7 owner. My Disco is in very clean and great condition. My Disco just made it to 85k miles (all inner city driving) and I want to make some changes to it. I am a little concerned about some of the parts that I have found. I am concerned because I don’t know what parts are quality or good for my car. I just want to give my car one major heavy duty tune up and make over now that I have the chance to so I don’t run into any problems or have to make any changes to it for years to come.
The changes I want to make are as follows below.
New Tires
Heavy duty rotors
Heavy duty brake pads
Heavy duty calipers
Heavy duty shock absorbers and springs
Heavy duty tune up parts
I did a little research and came up with the following parts
Tires: Good Year Fortera Triple Tread Size 255/55R18
Please if some one is willing to advise me on my situation I would really appreciate it feel free to email me at alexanputrus@yahoo.com or even call 773-640-2339
slow down.....
what about the drive shaft? have you had that rebuilt? what about the head gaskets? are you leaking any fluids? coolant/oil or both? check out Disco Mikes 60K service sticky under the disco section. You might want to throw some magnecor 8mm wires and bosch +4 platinum plugs in there as well... i would just do the maintenance sticky then work on from there.

did you have the drive shaft rebuilt? or no? its not a problem until it blows apart and destroys the transmission and takes out the transfer case with it...

well factor that into your list of things. if you want to rebuild it will cost you under $200. Or you can buy a new one from Tom Woods for around $320. The rear drive shaft also should be replaced.
