Hey everyone, just purchased my new winter "beater", a 1999 Discovery. This will be my first winter with a 4x4 and I'm pretty excited. Also, can't wait to learn a crap load about my new ride. Ryan

Doesn't everyone have winter where they are? some are just worse than others lol. but ya, I'm in edmonton alberta canada so i get some pretty tough winters!

also hoping I'm not gonna have to do a ton of work this year before the white stuff starts falling...but definitely already have a couple problems that i need to get sorted out, big one being cruise control that doesn't work, ugh!

Welcome!!! I have the cruise control issue as well. Start with replacing the vacuum lines... Thats the cheap part.. I would recommend doing a oil change and using a mobile 1 301 filter. It is a big boy and it is the best filter made in my opinion. Send me some white stuff in IOWA usa please!!
