Default DISCO in AK

Greetings! My name is Chris. I have been reading through your site for some time now and decided to register and contribute to the community. I own a 1998 Disco II that is "Broken In" here in Fairbanks Alaska. Between the Extremely cold Winters and Amazing offroad coutry here there has been some challanges, but I am learning so much. I can't say enough how much this site has helped!

Welcome. We needed new blood from Alaska. Down load the RAVE tech manual, and post some pix of fun in the snow.

Will do! It gets kind of crazy here dodging snow machines.

Just saw this post. I'm a disco driver as well and heading for Fairbanks in a few months. Do you wheel with a club out there?

No. I tend to ride with friends and mainly during the summer. We are under a -40 cold snap right now and it plays havoc on my old disco.

Don't blame you, winching in -40 can't be fun not to mention metal likes to make that snapping sound in temps like that. Found a club on line that seems pretty cool, frozen axles. Looks like they go out pretty frequently. Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers,

Jason
