Default Looking for advice.

Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie to the site. I'm not yet a LR owner, but seriously contemplating purchasing a 2008 LR2. Looks great inside and out, and drives well. My only concern is that in looking at LR reviews online, people either love them or hate them. So, my question is the LR2 a reliable vehicle? I've always liked LR, but worried about costly repairs.

As an FYI (and I'm almost afraid to say it on a LR forum) the other vehicle I'm considering is a 2010 MB GLK350.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Cheers,
Joe

have you spoken to people about the 2010 MB GLK350 ???

To each his own ,when it comes to experiences ,

if you buy a LR that didn't get love ... you will have to start over ( and hate them ) if you buy a good working one ,and continue maintaining it ( you will love them ) they cant maintain themselves so it really up to us ...

you decide ....FYI Shhhhh ( If i had to buy a MB ,it would be the G65 AMG ) and still keep my LR .... but i didn't say that here ....

Hi justryan:

Thanks for your reply. Great response! My challenge with a used vehicle is that you don't know for certain if you're getting a vehicle that has been neglected.

This LR2 looks good - body, interior, undercarriage all look good. The engine runs smooth and quiet. The drive is the same. Fluids that I'm able to see and check under the hood look good, too. Nothing unusual with the exhaust gases. Acceleration and braking good.

I get it though - I know the car "love".

... as for the MB - no, I didn't talk to anyone about the GLK350. I've been looking for a LR, and when I went to check this one out, there was a MB parked next to it also with good attributes.

Thanks, again.

Cheers.
