New guy intro
Hi all,
Long term Land Rover user and owner here. But, I don't know everything, so, I joined this forum. I've noticed a lot of good info being passed on for the benefit of others, and I appreciate that.
Me? First drove a 109 Series 2 in 1973, and have driven loads of different LR products since, especially in my RAF career. Purchased my first LR, a Series 3 109 N/A Diesel with freewheel hubs and Laycock overdrive in the '90's. Sold that and then bought a 200 TDI 5- door disco in 2000 that I still own, with a barely run-in 345,000 miles. Bought a 300TDi auto about 8 years ago, and still have that with around 230,000 miles on and climbing. Owned and sold a couple of other 300 Disco's, including a couple of TDi's and a V8 with LPG. Recently purchased a Disco II V8 ES on LPG, and am slowly getting used to pretty lights, noises, and ACE.
My wife bought herself a P38 DT manual a few years ago, and I have been kept busy looking after that. I really like the air suspension.
For about 8 years, I owned a very short (92.25" wheelbase) Classic RR Bobtail with a 3.9, LT77, two inch lift, headers, rollcage etc, etc. I sold it earlier this year...back to the guy who sold it to me.
In my lockup, I have a 300TDi auto for spares, and a 200TDi manual with low-milage and rotten chassis. My eldest BIL bought what was my daily driver 300 TDi manual off of me about 8 years ago, and I'm still looking after that as well.
Reading all the above, do I suffer from any particular mental condition????
