My name is Drew and I am new to the forum. I have had a LR3 that we call "DSR" [ Daddy's Sweet Ride]. I got it new in 06 and take it out here and there, more now that it is a little older and ready to have more fun. I have been a long-time member of the Northern California Land Rover Club and just got around to joining this list.
I am no technical guru. Or even adept, but I love my truck and until I get a $400,000 sportcar, LRs are all I hope to own.
On a personal side, I am an attorney here in Northern California and have my own practice. I do a lot of different things for individuals and small businesses. I have 3 kids who love to off-road, and one wife who screams in terror when she rides with me. (I don't take her as much as I take the kids). With three little ones, I don't get off-roading as much as I would like, but I try and get to Hollister Hills a few times a year and whenever we travel by car, I manage to find a place or two to get some mud under the wheels.
Pass on the 400K sportscar, those little ones will be in college before you know it. Enjoy the forum, ask questions or post random thoughts and pictures, all is welcome.
@ SavannahBuzz. "Random thoughts" are my specialty. Lived in HOTLANTA for a few years - wish it would have been Savannah, I liked that town a lot more. Pix of some of my more impressive driving will follow.
@wheelgarage - I know you didn't mean it, but your comment, "semi-business, international trade law" made me think, well, a bit of tade from Columbia, hence it was not a full business, just "semi" as is "semi-business: I make a livin', but not legal".
I guess this is where I post the warning that I enjoy a good joke, even more when they are at my expense and sometimes a good idea for a joke turns out bad when typed to a group of strangers. The above joke started out good, but then fell flat as month old soda.
Anyway, I handle a lot of civil litigation, Copyright/Trademark suits, business litigation (contract, debt disputes, insurance) and commercial real estate. I believe in the mantra of given almost anyone 30 minutes of my time because if I can't help them, maybe I can find someone who can. I consider it payment into the Karma bank.
Right now, I am searching for some 18" wheels for my truck as I am sick of the crappy options for tires in the 19". I don't have any modifications on my truck, but hope to do that now - some nice rock sliders hopefully.
Lived in ATL for over 20 years, starting back when Indian Trail was dirt from the freeway to Lilburn, and Town Center Mall was a Texaco station and pine trees....
