Default Noob in Denver

Hey All,

I can't remember if I've gotten around to doing this yet or not. Last month I picked up an 04 DII. I've had a few other 4X4 money pits:

RRC LWB
1986 Toyota FJ60
1977 Scout II (still have it)

And now enter the Disco. I've gotten my feet wet thus far with throttle body heater and a new radiator. I've installed an Ultraguage for code reading/clearing as well as keeping an eye on that coolant temp. Next up: front drive shaft and driver's side knock sensor (throwing a code).

Not far off on the horizon I'm planning a 2" lift to accommodate new 235/85r16 AT tires.

Cheers,
Gavin

Welcome, sounds like you have a good start. For peace of mind might consider an oil pressure manual gauge test, too bad Rover didn't include one. Here's a pix of knock sensor from the RAVE, electrical drawings are in circuits manuals, and connector locations are in electrical library.

Welcome Gavin! Got any pics of your Disco, or any other of your past maidens? The landscape of Colorado can make for some pretty epic shots and I'm a sucker for all things Land Rover/Cruiser

Hope the Broncos can keep the Cinderella story going this weekend!

Thanks Buzz,

I've conquered the knock sensor now, took me all of 20 minutes. Thanks for the legwork. I have the RAVE, but you made it easy! Just a stab in the dark here, but:

"to Hell with Georgia!" ?

I went to Tech 94-99.

Well congratulations. I have a mixed marriage, I paid for two degrees from UGA for SWMBO, we drove thru and they tossed them in the sunroof....

Did you get fries with those? Well, in retrospect if I really was smart I'd have gone to UGA, where the hot girls were.

On a more serious note, changed out the knock sensor and still throwing the P0327 code. Check wiring to the ECM next?

Thanks,
Gavin
