Default DeLorean Sighting...

Some of you may appreciate this like I did, given the rarity of these things. Saw this DeLorean on my drive home yesterday while heading up I-5.

...Thank goodness he wasn't doing 88 mph

I do! Thanks. There is a place in TX (I think), that bought up all the new old stock and you can get a brand new one. If I didn't have a Rover sucking my bank account dry I'd love to have one. BTW, loved the Back to the Future reference

We have a British car show here in Rome, GA every year, and for some reason, the past two years, there has been a DeLorean there as well. This year, there was some kind of film crew there interviewing the owner for some reason. Not really a British car, but still cool to look at.

Here's a pic.

My friends dad has one and it is a dog. I raced my buddy awhile back with my CRX....no contest....lol...

There is a guy in TX that bought all the rights to the company (forgot the name of the guy). He has all the old new stock of parts, builds new cars, and services them.

Not to long ago, i was going to ask him to build me one with a Flux Capacitor....

DeLoreans were never meant to go fast. They only needed to get to 88mph and then they could 'travel' to the end of the race and be there before it started!!!!(as long as they had a long enough course to get up to speed...)

I saw one for auction once. Unfortunately, I was outbid by $200.....but the following Monday it was parked outside the shop I worked at and I got to inspect it for the new owner and laugh about the coinkidink.

So what was the winning bid?

I remember when Diner" Club had one on the cover of their Christmas Catalog ome year when they first came out. It was Gold Plated and was listed at $120,000 or so.

Then John got caught with that suitcase full of Cocaine..........

Default British . . . ?

Well, not trying to start a war, but some might call it British considering it was built in Northern Ireland:

"was originally manufactured in Dunmurry, a suburb of Belfast, Northern Ireland by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company for the American market in 1981–1982"

DeLorean DMC-12 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am NOT trying to start a debate if Northern Ireland is British . . .

I have a friend who has a friend who has 4 of 'em. There are even internets sites where you can buy Flux Capacitors to install in them!
