Default How about this?

I was doing some searching for a D1 roof rack here on the island and came across this 1965 landrover was thinking this looks pretty cool until I realized the asking price $27.5k not $2,750..... is that really what these are worth? Either way I cant imagine he'll have much luck getting rid of that out here anytime soon.

For the right person it is a good number to negotiate from.

That sounds about right.
These trucks drop in value until they get about 20 years old and then they start going back up, the older and the better shape the more money they fetch.

I dont know what island you are on but you have to figure that will add to the price.
If you bought the one in Seattle for $5000 how much to ship it to you?

Oh it's only about $1000 to have a normal sized vehicle shipped out here (Big Island,Hawaii). I'm not really in the market for a vintage rover I just was kinda set back by the asking price after I miss read it the first time. But looking at your diesel swap thread and the $65k defender that '65 seems like a bargain!

I saw this last week as well....$5000 seems to good to be true. If I wasn't already knee deep in my '74 FJ40, I'd be all over this one.

Yeah pretty cool right? I'm not really in the market for another project till my disco is a little farther along. And once that's done I'll probably get another enduro and or a small car or something. How's your FJ going?

Yeah, frikin awesome

The FJ is coming along pretty good, I've got a 4" Skyjacker lift/Bilstein 5100's and BFG 32x11.50's on it. Original engine with 86K miles, stripped all the paint off and primed it black. I've hardly driven it since I bought it 3 years ago, but I love it. Here it is out on a logging road near Lake Wenatchee in Washington state.
