Default I need help with colorado wether!!

I hope people read this. I figured its WAYYY to offtopic to post in the discovery 1 forums..

Im going to colorado for vacation dec 10th. I have always wanted to go and if I like it I may be moving....

However I lived in louisiana my whole life and have no idea how to deal with cold weather.. I do plan on skiing or snowboarding and taking a snow mobile tour. I need to buy some stuff, but I was wondering if you guys could help me..
Without spending TOO much money im gonna try to use a little bit of the stuff I already have..

Heres all the cold weather gear I own..

Under Armour ColdGear BaseLayer 2.0 Top and Bottom

Underarmour ColdGear Compression Turtle Neck Top

[2] North Face Hoodies

Under Armour Hoodie

Carhart Waterproof Coat

[On the way no idea how thick it is.]

North Face Beenie

Underarmour Hood

I know it sounds stupid but this is LITERALLY all the cold weather gear I have. I will only be up there for 3 days. So I dont need much. What should I buy and what should I bring?

Have you ever seen snow? Yes I ask seriously. Expect temps in the 20 degree range and factor in wind chill and it will probably feel like -20. I am a firm believer in down parkas. I grew up outside Boulder and learned to expect anything weather related.

And don't forget your sunglasses.

I live in Colorado and don't have anywhere near that amount of gear.
Save you money, when you are here go to one of the big snow sale events if you need something.
I would be more concerned about the general condition of your truck, tires and wipers.
How current is all the service.

All you need is a cheap stocking cap, warm gloves, warm socks and waterproof boots.
A Navy Peacoat is plenty warm with the hat and gloves, keep your head and feet warm and the rest will also be warm.
Sunglasses are a must, the sun reflects off the snow and will blind you.
Bring what you have and if you need to you can hit a Goodwill Store or a Salvation Army store and buy warmer gear if needed, then you can donate it back before you go home.

I don't know where you're heading to in Colorado but if it's on the eastern slope near the mtns bring a pair of shorts too. Sometimes it's warm enough in Denver/Boulder in Dec that you might want them. The Front Range winter weather is incredibly changeable and fickle. 60 degrees one day and zero the next, etc, etc, etc. You own a lot more winter gear and nice winter gear too than I do.

Layers are the key.
A lot of thin stuff is better than one thick piece of clothing.
No cotton though, it's a big contributor to hypothermia.
