Talking If I don't get some help I may be bald in a few days.

Yesterday my 2003 disco 2 wouldn't start. I jumped it and it started once but would not the next time. Only a click. I was getting rained on so went back later to try again. from the first time I could smell electrical burning. I trailered it home and started playing with it today. It will now start and run but something definitly burned. It feels like the transmission is slipping and won't shift right. the srs light is on the obd codes are 0600 which is serial communication failure and an preexisting abs code I had.
please help before I commit landrover murder.

Do yourself a favor and save a fortune in expenses, let a mechanic that is used to tracking down possible wire harness issues handle this one. Depending on what is wrong, every time you turn on the key, you could be doing ,more damage.

Thumbs up found it

I walked away for a few days to clear my head. I do controls trouble shooting on commercial airconditioning for a living so this was just a matter of finding it. It turns out that the transmission controller has a burn spot on the board. That was the source of the smell. Just wanted to post an update.

Thanks for the up-date, have you been able to determine what caused this to happen yet?
