I was tired of the bland look of the stock front lights. So like many others I started searching around for other options and there are a ton to choose from.

I went with this set.

Blk 1997-2003 Ford F150 Expedition DRL Headlights w/ LED Corner Signal Lamps Set | eBay

Shipping was a quick 3 days arrived safe and sound. So I got to work on the patient.

One torx bit and a few minutes time is all you need to pull the lights on one of these. I had previously installed LED headlight bulbs, in stock Ford housings. So I had to trim the lock rings on the headlight assemblies to clear the oversized portion of the LED heat sink. No big deal there. Now for the marker light assemblies it took a second to square that away. The LED set up there plugs into the bulb socket. It's not marked which way it goes, so trial and error will happen here. Be sure to check before you pop it together. I will go back in tomorrow to wire in the Day time running lights into the parking light circuit. I was out of weather proof connectors to do the splices with. Silly me thought they would have a proper connector installed. No directions or wiring diagrams either of course...

Anyway here is the finished product.

So the Expedition made another cannon ball run north and back in 2 days with my old Saab wagon dragging along behind. Another 1600 miles under it's belt. If this thing wasn't a rot box it would be a keeper. The run back I averaged 13.5 mpg with that Saab behind it. Pretty good for 187k on the clock and 18 years under her belt.

So the Expedition has been Soldiering along.

Today she got some love. I figured out what was wrong with the AC. Living in GA it is needed. So got the new high pressure line ordered from Ford.

Found a snapped front shock, so two new front shocks went in.

Found the bushings were gone on the rear shocks so hopefully tomorrow those will go in.

replaced the muffler with some driveway fab. Really happy with how it came out, went with a thrush 2 chamber welded muffler nice sound with no drone. With the coupons and discount codes at Advance Auto I picked up the muffler, 4 shocks and a oil filter for the LR3 for $73. The oil filter was as much as a front shock ....

199k on the odo......

oh she got a oil change yesterday to. Also spent some time earning her keep bringing home this mountain of tool box. It mad me smile that I had to fold the seats flat to fit it all

So I had working AC for a week and now it's out again. I think it's trying to sweat me out.

Also had to chase down a hard misfire under load. Turned out to be a coil pack dying so 10 min fix.

Just to close this out last summer, I decided to get rid of it for a P38 Range Rover, which I owned for a week. Than traded that and some cash on my LR3. I thought the book was closed for me with Ford trucks than I found this and had to bring it home....

So I strayed from Land Rover a little bit, still have 3 in the driveway.

It's a 1990 Ford F150, XLT Lariat, AC power windows, power locks, cruise 5.0 5spd 4x4 regular cab short bed. Most important option is it is rust and bondo free. I'll start a thread about it and my plans for it.

Congrats, rust free and no bondo is a great option.
