Save your time and trouble, if they were supposed to do it, they didn't. If you bought it thinking you would get 300K out of it, you might, with plenty of work along the way. 200K if you take really good care of it. Start a savings plan (fruit jar) for the rebuild engine fund. Other than RoxieMoxie, who snagged a D2 with 117 miles on it, kept in a garage by an eccentric owner, for $2000; still had original gas in it... the rest of us are pretty much on our own. Many Rovers bought (leased) by high rolling suburbanites with plenty of credit; as economy dipped, maintenance took a back seat to shoes for the kids. Enjoy the physical functionality of the vehicle, put up with the quirks, and save for major repairs.
