The first car I ever owned was a green 1970 Chevy Nova. I was 18 and I bought it for $3,000 and owned it for about 15 years. The car I traded it for was carp

a 88 ford aerostar. biggest pile of junk ever built. auto tranny had to be shifted thru the gears manually, windsheild wipers were controlled by a piece of string that i pulled in either direction. reverse on the tranny was completley shot had to push it out of parking spaces or park on a hill and the frame was bent so badly if i let go of the wheel i would nearly make donuts.

My first car was a 77-78 Honda Accord CVCC. It wouldn't pass smog but I learned to drive a stick with it. I sold it to a friend for $300 and used the money to help buy a '72 El Camino that I put a 406cid small block in. The El Camino with the first car in my name I could legally drive on the street. Looking back and knowing what I know now I wish I had that one back.

First car was a a early 90s Jeep Cherokee. It was horrible. None of the windows worked completely, some wouldn't come down, some wouldn't stop going down and had to be pushed up to close. Had numerous leaks, never had a working radio, fuel gauge didn't work. One of the best things that ever happened to me was a nice old lady hitting me in the rear wheel and breaking my axle. Insurance totalled it and gave me 5K for it! Paid 2k lol.

I may have had the most un-cool first car ever. At 16 I bought a 1984 Chevy Citation hatchback for $600. I drove it for 6 months, repaired a couple rust spots on the rocker panels, replaced the thermostat, and cleaned the heck out of the interior. Sold it for $1900 & bought a Ford Ranger from an auction and drove that for years. I piled on almost 400k miles (orignail motor & trans) & sold it for $2300.

Sometimes I really wish I had kept that little truck!

i had a decent car, it was my dads car. had a bunch of miles but it was fun as anything to drive. 96 2.8v6 audi a4 quattro 5-speed ,sport package. black on ivory int.. i was 18 by the time i got it.
here is a picture of a picture of it. it was back in 2004, people thought it was a brand new car but it was nearly10years old.

i bought it off him for 3,000. i kept telling him since he got the car that i was going to buy it from him. he didnt want to sell it to me. my 18th b-day he sold it to me.

you still have your first car? awesome! Landy i would keep too though, sadly my road to there was long and comfortable.

Mine was BMW 540i. Terrible condition, but definitely not worth whole high school savings. Both i learned on first road trip which' second half of, it spend on a trailer for daddy's moneys. But i supported our economy by buying it from small local business.
