Default D2 03/04 oil cooler upgrade

I have an 04' Transmission cooler with 99-02' engine oil cooler lines. Perfect upgrade to you 03/04 disco which does not come with a factory oil cooler. Plug and play fits into existing radiator muting bracket. I will also include the screw for mounting on the radiator bracket and 2 brand new genuine land rover O rings for the 2 ports on the front cover.

$150 plus shipping.

I highly recommend this upgrade and this price is very reasonable. Land Rover in there infinite wisdom chose to remove this option, and in my opinion, was a mistake among several. An engine with a history of heat related problems need all the help it can get. You will not see an improvement in the coolant temps. The coolant basically keeps the block and heads cool, where the most heat transfer occurs and the temp is gauged. The oil's main function is to reduce friction, which of course, reduces heat also. Top engine builders all install oil coolers on their engines.

Any fab or relocation of components on the radiator to mount/plumb the lines?

no. everything is already setup. i did mine in about 40 minutes if I recall. Hardest part was aligning the passenger hose to the front cover(above the oil pump) i was not straight in, but at a slight angle.

^ thanks joemamma, do I owe you a commission?

But seriously, this is a key upgrade. Even to add the larger cooler to a 99-02' is a good idea.

No Commission, LOL.
Just keep me in mind when you find that trailer wiring kit.
I would have used the transmission cooler on mine, but I found a brand new oil cooler on Ebay for 80.00 and the hoses for around 70.00(both).

You guys can see by Abran's pic of the transmission cooler and my oil cooler, and the transmission cooler is twice as large.
