As the title states, I am selling my 4.6L with 24k since the rebuild. I bought the new block back in 2013 from Nigel in Little Rock AR and only put 24k on since then. I did head work at the time and put it back together with head studs(I fing hate stretch bolts)

To be very clear, this motor is running but is misfiring do to some kind of gremlin in the electrical. I have swapped 02 sensors, plugs, wires, MAF, crank sensor, and coil packs but no cigar. It still has a misfire on cylinder 2. Pulled the plug and not steam cleaned and even tested the radiator to see if it had exhaust gas in it, nope.

So that leads me to the sale of my wonderful 4.6. I have more guts than brains and im going to attempt the infamous 350 swap. Hate if you want, but they are dirt cheap here and I have a turn key crate motor for free from my dad. It's going to be a little father son project.

Just because I never want to cheat a man and I can't day for certain. What's causing the misfire I'm listing the motor for $1000 obo with all accessories. I can send a video of it running and codes if anyone shows interest.

24K since the rebuild, but what are the total miles on it?

I'm still waiting to hear on the fate of my 98 D1 from the worse insurance company in the world IMHO (Travelers Insurance.....) and if they low ball me or total out my mint condition D1. I have an 03 D2 with a blown motor (has slipped sleeves for sure).

I'm also waiting on the title status of the D2. If I get the clear title on the D2 and they give me a decent amount of $$$$ for my D1 "I might" consider buying that engine and slapping it in my 03. Is it SAI equipped?

 

It does have secondary air. I was told, but have no means to verify, that the motor had 72k on it when I bought it from Nigels Rover Place in Little Rock AR. I hate to hear about the insurance, my 03 just got "totalled" in December bc I was rear ended and it dented the fuel tank and the back right quarter panel.

 

Updates? How goes the 350 swap?
