Default 2000 Range Rover Traction Failed and ABS light On

On my 2000 Range Rover the ABS light always stays on. Is there a way to troubleshoot easily? Or a way I can reset it myself?

Also when I first start the car the Brake Light stays on for about 45 seconds then goes away. I always get a message that says Traction failed. Is this because of the ABS light?

I dont feel any difference while Im driving but I want to correct the problem now before it becomes really serious.

One last thing....When I try to turn my heat on all the way high I do not feel any air coming out. It is very very light and I can't even tell if its cold air or hot air.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You need to go to a shop that has a scanner that can access your ABS fault codes, then you will know what is wrong and can have it fixed.
As for the blower motor, may have either e resistor failing for the fan or your motor is starting to go soutrh.
Either way, on either of these, better let a mechanic do the work.

It seems the mechanic shops near me are just plain dumb. I call and ask if they have scanners that can read ABS code. They say yes and when I get there they tell me No we can't do that only dealer can.

I am in Chicago...Someone would think it would be easy to find a small independant shop to pull the codes. Dealer wants $175 just to pull codes

How about the Tracation Failure and the Brake Light part?

Hi,
Had the same problem on mine. There is a sensor on each wheel that sets your abs/traction control. This could be your issue.
Check to see if they are sitting in their housing correctly for which a replacement can be bought. Check the workshop manual
for the part no.
