Default 2001 P38 Snap on MT2500 Scan Tool

Took the plunge off the deep end bought a nice RR. Check Engine Light came on. I have a Snap On MT2500 Scan Tool. I have some Global OBD-2 software for it. Can I use this setup? Is the OBD-2 Plug under the dash like everything else on the road?

As long as the scanner conforms to OBD II it should work fine.

Thanks for the reply. I cant find the OBD2 Connector though. I looked under the dash. I did not remove any panels. I looked at the ECM under the Right front seat. So if anybody can direct me that would be great.

Default Codes PO 171 and 174 Lean Both Banks

Okay so I found the connector. My Snapon MT 2500 works with Global OBD2 Software I bought of E-Bay a while back. I had to use personality Key K-2A.
I just picked up this RR yesterday. The Repo man I bought it from was going to keep it for his wife. But he took it to the dealer and they put in a Mass Airflow Sensor. After that experience he got sticker shock. After driving it 40 miles it set these codes. Fuel Pressure? O2 sensors? The 89 octane fuel I put in. After seeing the compression ratio I realized it needs High Test fuel. Just wanted to know if there is any common causes. It has 147,000 miles. But it is in excellent cosmetic condition and my wife fell in love with it. $5,500 seemed like a good deal. After I got it home I discovered it has the wrong wheels on it. It has 16 inch land Rover wheels. But the spare is a brand new 18 inch wheel and tire. I have read that the HSE was supposed to have 18 inch wheels. Speedometer seems off. So is it worth putting it back to spec. Since the ECM is programmed for 18 inch wheels?

If it has been sitting for a while, you may just want to change the fuel filter, clear the codes and drive it for a while. Does it run well? I would change the wheels back to stock especially if the diameter of the wheel/tire combo is different. Running the correct fuel may clear up the oxygen sensor code.
