Hi, group. I have a 2002 rangerover hse. My oring is bad i believe and i checked out the rrnet site that i was referred to and read every thread!!!!! everything great so far and thanks to lr scott for referring me. k heres my question everyone says to run the motor to check for leaks how much electricals do i need to reconnect? the nav screen, radio,srs bag,. my instrument cluster is still in. i guess i need the hvac module hooked up. thanks for any help.

 

Are you just trying to start the engine and let the system pressurize to test the new o rings? As far as I'm concerned, all you would need is the instrument panel to make sure it doesn't over heat. I would re-connect the srs airbag, just wouldn't want it to throw a fault code. However, the rest of the stuff won't impede the engine operation, and will most likely not cause it to throw a code. I would be cautious though, if you notice anything out of the ordinary, shut everything down.

srs airbag, damn Scott you put that poor bastard on a wild goose chase.

you want to know how to change the damn things in around an hour. pull both side covers, the radio and the hvac module pull off the lower cover and the vent underneath the orings and push a two foot long philips screwdriver into the screw and take it out. just make sure the screwdriver is excellent shape or it will round off the screw.

feel the damn thing and use a flashlight to look for leaks.

its that easy.
