Default Need advice with my 95 classic

I have a 1995 RR classic, SWB, and I want to do some mods to it, but because I'm new to whole modding scene, I'm not sure where to go first. Here is everything I want to do: rims n tires, lift, limb risers, roof rack, crash bar, and rock sliders.

My buddy and I are custom building the roof rack, crash bar, and rock sliders so all I really need advice on is the lift and tires. I don't want anything too big, just enough to give it alittle more off-road performance. I know there is a lot of space in the wheel-well but I'm not sure if getting bigger tires without a lift is a good idea.

So any sort of advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you swapped to coils or do you still have the air suspension? If you have not gone to coils then you could move that way and get a 2" lift while doing so. These vehicles are not generally big rock crawlers but are great for general off roading. I would say that a 2" and some new taller itres would be great and give the vehicle a new look. You can go look at companies such rovertyme and dapinc for some lift ideas. The wheel openings are fairly big so of you wanted to go another 2 inches in tires without a lift I think you could, it would be the width that I watch out for since you may end op with some rubbing and or fender damage when at full stuff and turning the tire.

No we took off the airbag suspension and now it has springs. I went to a local shop called 4wheelparts and he said that I shouldn't go any bigger than my stock size without a lift but I think I could. He also mentioned that there aren't any lift kits for the 95 but I'm sure there's one somewhere.

I just checked rovertym, they have a 2" kit for your RR. It will be new springs but they may have spacers as well. I have seen D1's on 34's but they were skinny and that was how they got the height in tire without the rubbing. Good Luck.
