Default Remote Locking

Problem 1: I can only gain entry using key. I'm not sure why the remote is not working????

Problem 2: When front passenger is exiting the Rover and they lock the front passenger door. When the front passenger door is closed the back doors unlock. I'm not sure why this happens?

Any information on either problem would be great.

1999 Range Rover 4.0S

Thanks

Have you changed the battery in the fob to confirm that it works?

if the fob tests good it may have lost sync with the truck. On the d1 you press lock 4 times to sync the fob to the vehicle.

for the second issue, does this happen with the front passenger door only? Is this locking by pushing down the lock or by using the key to lock the door?

Default Remote Locking

1) I will try the battery replacement on the remote when I get back in town, I will have to look up the sync procedure for the Range Rover also.

2) It is when the button is manually pushed down, since I have not gotten the remote to lock/unlock the doors yet.(see above)

Thanks for the info, it is very appreciated.
