Default 1996 P38 4.6 "Service Engine Light"

At 120,000 miles 'SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT" has gone on. Changed 02 sensors and Cats 40,000 miles ago. No errors come up w/ All-Data or OBD-2 scanners.

Is there any way to get rid of this error light? Thx.

Yeah, take it out... It doesn't actually mean something is wrong. It is telling you to take it to the dealership to get the oil changed. In some cases you can get it to go away by disconnecting the battery for awhile. Many owners just take theirs out. If it is the "check engine" light, then you have a problem.

How do you remove the "Service Engine Light?" Is it on a single fuse?

I assume he means to reach under the dash, twist the light socket out of the dash, remove the bulb and replace the socket. Cutting a wire to it would work too, but what happens if you cut the blue wire instead of the red?

whoa whoa whoa whoa.... don't go cutting wires or removing bulbs. It is an emissions maintenance reminder which is a function of the BECM and a normal odb2 reader isnt going to reset it.
