Is this true about 2001-2002 Range Rovers?

Depends on how you maintain them... If you have the dealership do it, yes you will pay 3k a year easily. Having a local shop do it, you'd probably average 500 to 1k a year roughly... Once again it all kinda depends. This year I probably spent $750 to 1k on mine, but it was neglected by previous owners for many years. If you are trying to find an economical car, lol don't get a rover. They are not horrible when it comes to repairs, but do require more than your average vehicle.

Yeah I think I would just search for another one all together because I'd offer a lot less and I doubt they will go that low. I was looking at an 02 with 91k miles for $8500. It's best to buy them cheap so you save the extra money for repairs. I want one, but I'm just scared. For some reason I just like the looks and feel of the P38, I'd rather have one of them instead of a brand new car lol.
