Default Water spills into the window button cluster!!!

Yes, I went against my own rule of eating and drinking in my RR and almost had a heart attack when I spilled water all over the window button cluster. I quickly soaked up all that I could with napkins, but water is quicker than I am. How long to I have before the electrical melt down commences?

Well, if it were me, I would disconnect the battery overnight (maybe even a couple days) and leave a heater in the car with a window open to dry it out. I would also remove the window controls and let them dry too.

The moment the water reaches hot electrical circuits is when it will happen. If no power is applied to them while they have water in them (disconnected battery) nothing will happen.

Looks like I lucked out! I just might have gotten the majority of the water when it spilled. No side effects! Thank God! Looks like my RR cut me a break this time. New rule, no more eating or drinking in the RR!
Thanks to all you viewed and Scott who commented on this thread.

Most of the window switches are not using a circuit board and so they are not as sensitive to water as say the whole ECU. The designers know you are going to spill on them, it sounds like thankfully it was water and not a soda or something like that.

clean it out like you would clean a keyboard out after you split water in it.
