my son has a 2000rr hse had a new waterpump and thermostat put in it drove it home went out about 1hr later wont start but everything come on but wont start but when we try to start it the stock alarm goes off
Sounds like electrical problem related to battery / charging, might be corrosion or loose terminals; lead may have been taken off during work and not secured back. Alarm system does not like battery disconnected while it is armed, may trigger immobilization mode. While you are there, may as well clean up battery terminals, test with voltmeter with head lights on, to see if it is putting out enough voltage to crank, may have bad battery.
tried everything batt. is good when you try to start it it says motor is disabled and push remote maybe a bad remote batt? any help banging my head going crazy
You are immobilized. It won't crank until all of that is reset by a variety of methods, you can search for them on this forum, there are several ways to clear it, one involves pressing the inertia switch on the firewall, there are also some codes to enter. But my point is still - what caused it to trigger? And the recent work may have a tie in.
Did you disconnect the battery when you changed out the water pump? Bosch rovers get picky when you do that and the key is not in the ignition. Try disconnecting the battery when the key is in the ignition and then reconnecting it. Make sure you leave the door open when doing this, don't want the keys to get locked in there. Does the keyless entry work? If not, try re-syncing it by putting the key in the driver door lock, turning it to the lock position while pushing the lock button on the key. Then do the same thing for the unlock button, except turn the key to the unlock position.
