Default Dave Caouette Memorial Run

Some may or may not have heard but here in SoCal we lost a prominent member of the rover community. Dave Caouette was shot while in his Rover outside Salon Meritage in Seal Beach on October 12th. Today we had a memorial run from Redding up to Big Bear for lunch and some raffles for a fund raisers for the family since they have been hit especially hard with his passing. I personally never met Dave but from what I could tell he seemed like a hell of a guy. Here's a couple of pics i took of the drive up the mountain and on the trails in the snow after lunch:

and a small news segment that they did on our little run:

That is AWESOME. I remember when I read about that situation... such a sad story. Glad to see you guys have been celebrating his life and raising some money for the family.

looks like you guys had a great turnout! glad that the weather cooperated and wish i could have been there. The Rover community is full of good people, just one of the reasons I enjoy off-roading.

This is what I like about Rover community! You don't see KIA (not hating on KIA, its just an easy again car company name to spell lol) drivers flashing there high beams at each other or parking next to each other in a parking lot ( even if it is a bit out of the way). We love our trucks and we love the people who understand the bond between us and our rovers...

Is there a fund set up?

P.S. I'm not the only person who parks next to another rover or gets a little excited when you see another rover, right?
