January run along the Gunnison River in CO
|
Spent a pleasant day in January with Jeeper friends exploring scenic Gunnison River canyon overlooks near White Water, CO which is south of Grand Junction in western Colorado. Not much snow on the ground but lots of ice on the river far below us. Blustery day with a few snow showers. To our west across the river are the lower reaches of the Uncompahgre Plateau. To our east was high Grand Mesa which appeared occasionally when the sun broke through. Visited numerous overlooks on an easy run.
