Default New DC100 Pics?

Idk how many of you have seen these, but autoblog announced that LR relseased photos of their new off road concept. If true, I LOVE that they are thinking back to their roots again. Its not my favorite design, I prefer the boxy defender a little more, but its a step up from what we've seen recently IMO. (If these are real)

Has a new fj40 look to it. Not too bad I guess, but man do I HATE those rap star wheels!

Yeah, without wheels it'll look so much better. Hopefully they'll ditch those if it ever becomes a reality.

It looks like a fj cruiser and range rover had a bastard child, if they kept it simple, cheap and put a decent turbo desiel in it they would sell like hot cakes in the US. Something that is a good off-road platform. Our discos are a good off-road platform but unfortunately the luxury they integrated into them just causes problems with age. They need to be more utilitarian, like the series rovers.

the US compliant diesel 6 won't be out till 2015 or later. by then they will have all the annoying eletrical issues figured out with the new defender OR it will be thrown to the waste bin. If it isn't thrown out, they start selling here in 2016 for $60,000. Wait for used one I can afford, it's now 2024. My 99 D2 is now legally classified as a "classic car" and I'm looking for a D1 with under 300,000 miles.

Here's a mock up of a lifted version with smaller wheels, more rubber and a brush guard and roof rack. Much better.

I think its more a cross between a H3 and a FJ cruzer. It looks goods though. The wheels do not bother me, but would look nicer all black. A diesel would be nice and 30 some miles per gallon. I'll save my cooking oil for the day I can afford one.
