Default New TRON Font Land Rover Forums logo?

  • Whats up with the new TRON font Land Rover logo. I guess it looks OK. Must me the new LR4 version
  • I have thought it would be cool to feature different member's Discovery, Range Rover or Defender on the right picture header. How cool would it be to have your Modded/ lifted/ cool wheels, kickin lights, Rover for all to see swapped out every 2 weeks or so. Just a thought.
  • It might be the administrators nightmare. But its not to hard to swap out a picture.

Yeah i thought I was seeing things when I logged in and just realized that was changed. X2 on changing the pic out for a different member every couple weeks or so.

i think its better, the actual banner height has shrunk since i joined. which makes it a heck of a lot easier to load on my phone when im out.

Anything's better than LRO. Holy cow that forum takes like 1-2 minutes to load on my respectably fast laptop and high speed internet, so forget about the iPhone.

Yeah, I'm sure these forum software installs don't make header changes that easy. You'd need some flash to make a rotational graphical banner (longer load times), or if it was done manually Phil or whoever else you have to Photoshop a new banner together every couple weeks. Unless you rock at Photoshop, it's not that much fun.

I would like to see some D2 representation though! I think we're most active forum on the site...saw 110 users viewing this board at 10:30 pm last night. Rock on!

Last night the "Land Rover" part on the left was a different font and it had the > things like the real LR logo.

Could have been a copyright thing. Lucky 8 had to change their logo because of something similar.

I was thinking cut the header off at the right front side of that LR3. Then a member's picture could be resized easily so you would not have to blend it into the whole header. Maybe do away with the translucent LR3. Add some mountains or something. Maybe I'm asking for too much. But it would bee neat to see a Discovery on the discovery board and Range Rover on the Rover board. I'm not that good with Photoshop, but I could figure it out. To make it look right it would need to be a angled picture or nice side picture of a members Discovery.

If I remember correctly, Mike mentioned that the Mods don't have much control over the forum and it's styling. Im sure Spike or Mike could chime in because i'd love to make the forum have a little less "mall crawler" look. However, like i said, I feel like it may be easier said than done...
