Default SD roof rack

So yesterday the fam and I took off for Traverse City MI to get my roof rack and visit family.
Here is my new SD Roof Rack, it is for a DII but for the price there was no way I could have passed it up.

Here is the trouble that I ran into.
1-the donor truck was on a rack because it was at a junk yard so it was 3ft off the ground, thank God it had running boards.
2-the allen head bolts that help secure the rack are metric, like a idiot I used a SAE allen and striped the heads out of 2 of them, luckily they were on the same side. (I had metric's with me but was in a hurry and the SAE fit tight but when the rusted bolts would not budge the heads stripped)
3-While the rack is not heavy it is big and walking it from the very far corner of a junk yard it gets heavy. (no they would not let us drive back to get it)

If you score a SD roof rack here is what you will need.
A 13mm socket.
A 4mm allen wrench.
A can of your favorite pen/lube.

I am going to have to replace all of the allen bolts and clean up the rack and paint it and I will put on a floor.
I have a picture of the donor truck on my iphone but I just need to figure out how to get it off of the phone and into Photobucket.

And the wind noise is not that bad, you tune it out after awhile, kinda like your wife.

Nice find Spike, looks good on your Trooper. Are you planning on getting the chicken coop and lights?

I am searching for flooring options.
I dont really like the Farmtec chicken coop floor, I think it is to thick, but thats just me.
I like this but it is not for sale in the US.

http://www.offroadtuff.com/DiscoIILRN50120.htm

I had stumbled upon a floor that was steel mesh, but now I cannot find it again, someone had used it on a SD rack and welded it to it.
I really liked the looks of it.

Yeah, they call that expanded steel, my wife's cousing gave us some scrap pieces of it a few years ago. I made a couple of security shields to put over basement door and back porch door to prevent breakins. There were some rowdy teens vandalizing the neighborhood. So we bolted that inside the window glass in the door. Worked great.
