Default She's gone.

I drove The Donor to her new owner today.
I bought the truck for $600, swapped her ARB winch bumper for mine.
Swapped her less than 2 year old radiator for my original one.
Bought a used door latch for the rear passenger door that would not latch.
New radiator hoses, changed all the fluids.
Put air in all the tires, ran it through the car wash and filled the gas tank.
Drove it 132 miles with no cruise, window down and kept the speed around 65-70mph and used just over 1/4 tank of gas.
I sold it for $600.

I hated to see her go, but I think she went to a good home.

Hey you got lucky. You got to sell her. Mine got completely totaled when a 17 year old girl in a honda civic pulled out in front of me with no warning.

Can't really beat scoring an ARB and reselling the thing for the same price.
Nice job!

I figure I got $1000 in parts off of it.
Put $100 into it.
Sold it for what I paid, so I figure I'm ahead by $900.

What a deal!...so now I'm wondering when we get to see pics of your truck with the ARB? (or have you posted them already and I missed them)

You have NO idea how lucky I am.
I just got a letter today from a Rover enthusiast who had a '94 D90 and a couple RRC's.
He has parts in his basement for over a year now that he wants to get rid of, he sold his D90 to start a business.
I am going to his house after work tomorrow to check things out and haggle.
Diff guards, LR waterproof seat covers...lots of goodies.
He jogs past my house every day.
He sounds like a nice guy on the phone and he is def a Rover guy.

YES you will need those diff guards when we meet up at the Wilds in 2012 to break things.
