Default Well I thought it was funny.

My wife and mother are having a garage sale this weekend so I parked my Rover in the yard so they had more room.
This old guy stops and is looking around, he see's my sign hanging on the fence in front of my parking spot in the driveway.
The sign reads "No parking except for Phil's Land Rover"
The guy reads it and says to my wife "Thats a funny sign, you dont even have a Land Rover"
She replies "Yes we do, its parked in the yard"
He looks out in the yard and see's it and says "Those things are nothing but trouble, they break down all the time"
To which my wifes says "Not ours"
He left without buying anything.

I had the same thing happen when I was selling the Jeep. Guy stopped to look at the jeep and then asked about the Rover. I told him it wasn't for sale and he started telling what junk they were. I said yeah, well the jeep is for sale and the Rover has never given me a problem, its mine and I love it. He didn't have much to say and left. Next person bought the jeep. Lol

I remember having my friend dropping me off to pick up the my Land Rover after I had bought it, and the whole drive he told me how they were nothing but trouble and I'd spend twice the amount I paid for it fixing it... Oddly enough he called me about 2 hours later asking me to pick him up because his Jeep overheated and pissed coolant all over the highway.

I have easily spent twice what I payed for my Rover maintaining it and putting tires on it....but I only payed $400 for it and I wouldn't sell it for four times what I have invested in it After giving it proper attention and service its one hell of a solid truck!
