Default Off Road in NC

I had a long write up of my adventure this weekend but I cant post it all, basically on the way out it was easy, but coming back part of the trail had filled up with water, the vid is after one of the areas that gave us some troble, the mud was crazy thick, its pretty hard to tell but it is! In the vid. the first is my firends Jeep GC and second is me. Here is the link and some post adventure pics!

Default RE: Off Road in NC

(finally got it to post somewhat)This weekend we went out to my friends lot/mountain that his dad has bought to develop, it was recently cleared out with a bulldozer and it was really beautiful out there, we went before it was cleared not to long ago and we got all the way to the top. Recently, it has rained here alot and the mix of that and the bulldozed trails was quite the adventure this time. Top get to the top you actually have to go down first, the HDC was amazing on this, and it was quite slick, unfortunately on the way up we got to a spot that was impassable, so we turned around.... this is wheree it got exciting! Part of the trail has filled with water, we had to let some of it out. it left behind some thick clay mud, may look easy but when your there in person... its a different story:

Default RE: Off Road in NC

(cont.) After we got through that we got about 20 yards and hit the base of the hill, going down I knew it was going to be an adventure to get back up, and boy it was! after about 30 min of trying with the jeep he got up, next was me and on the 3rd try I got up! It was the most intense bit of driving I have ever done, I wish I could have got it on tape, it was much more exciting than the video i posted. The hill was so slick you couldnt lose momentum so you had to keep the pedal to the medal. At the same time it was so slick you would start spinning out and I was working the wheel likee crazy. one side was trees the other was a dropp off, it was very exciting! Finally we both got to the top and headed out. It was by far the best off road adventure I have had yet, and I gained a ton of confidence in the disco! She was great!
