Default adjustable air ride (manually)

i am about to purchase a 1997 (p38) with new bags and a non operation compressor. i was wonderin if one could remove the factory, tank, compressor and valves and install an after market system. i want to adjust the air ride myself like on lowrider. Is it possible, and what might need to be changed (air lines)? i have been searching around and havent found anything on this topic.

the system is

and add a 5 gal tank.

to get a effect similar to this (not exactly, just to show adjust-ability)

I hear people always talkin about the ride height bein off, like one side is too high or whatever. sensors jackin up. if i can adjust it myself, and remove all senors. This setup would be AWESOME and look cool. maybe even cheaper if anything was to ever go wrong again.

p.s. im not tryin to offend land rover enthusiast by tryin to turn a beautiful ride to a ghetto custom SUV, but i think it would be nice and a little practical...
