Default BFG All-Terrain T/A 265/65/18

Its time for new tires on my 99 disco II w/ stock suspension and 18 inch wheels...do any of you run the bfg all terrains in 265/65/18 on the same vehicle?

my fallback(assuming the bfg wont fit) is the toyo open country a/t in 255/55/18 which i know will fit...but i cant find much info on this tire, does anyone know the tread depth?

thx

If it's a 99 it's time for new springs anyway. Might as well put in a 2" lift and go with the larger tire.

Well, I am but it's on a Powerstroke. Best tire I've found for an All Terrain.

Good luck

I recently added 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my stock 04 Disco. Fits perfect, barely clears the front fenders when turning, but does!....99% no rubbing. Looks very beefy...tires ride awesome...very quiet for a/t tire. I can post pics if anyone wants to see. Everytime I park the Disco now, I have to look back 2-3 times at her :> So glad I replaced those weeny 255/55 tires......I think I may add a 2" lift soon for even better tire clearance and looks.

Off topic, what do you all think of D.A.P.'s Big Blue springs with Pro-Comp shocks?

nice, pics would be great those are bigger than the 265 bfg's so if it really clears thats good news for me, cause i really like the bfg tires.

What sort of wheeling will you be doing?? Just because they may have fit on an 04, with alot less mileage, they won't fit on your 99, trust me, I have a 99, the suspension settled by about 1.5"s by the time I added my Old Man Emu suspension. Your truck is just too low, you'll tear up your tires of road so just got for a lift, you can buy the OME coils and shocks along with a new steering stabilizer for around $650 then you'll be set.

I decided to go w/ general grabber at2 in 255/55/18 haha, its similar tread pattern to bfg and comes w/ 60k warranty, and most importantly they fit.
