You can go all the way up to 285/75R16's if you had the room for em with a lift. 245/70R16's can fit without a lift and, 245/75R16's are perfect with a 2inch lift.

I have a D1 with a 2" lift and it currently has 245/75/16s on the standard alloys. I was always wondering if I could go a little bit bigger, like to a 255 or 265 at the most, also if it was necessary to go bigger or if those ones I've got on are going to be capable enough anyway, but most of all I didn't want to ask the questions because I thought everyone would have asked it already haha but I just saw this and it sounds like my question has been answered
