Default Firestone Destination A/T

Has anyone ever used the Firestone Destination A/T according to Tire Rack, they're rated very well and surpass Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armours, Michelin LTX A/T2, and the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S in all customer ratings with a total number of 7,051,397 miles driven by the raters.

Default RE: Firestone Destination A/T

For those type people not at all concerned with ever off roading their Rovers, they look like VERY nice tires. However, for those of us who do, even though they are rated as "AT" tires, the closeness of the lugs to each other in the tread would translate to almost no traction on loose terrain so they would just not perform too well off road.

When I chose Silent Armours for my LR3 I relied heavily amongst other things, on the postings from hundreads of thousands of people on the same site you found. I simply went down the list starting from the top and chose the highest rated that ALSO offered a decent off road tread pattern, thus my choice. Two years later, I am only more so convinced that I made the right one.

Which silent armour did you go with? The wrangler?

What about the fortera, any good? The write-up looks good and the tire shop recommends them.

I have the Firestone tires on and they are great. I dont take my LR Disco off road to much but the ride on the tires is great they are quite, and they look great. I bought the 265/75/16 and they fit just right. check it youll be impressed.
