Just had a set of Kelly Safari TSRs 245/75/16 installed with no lift. I had to call around and get the lowest price possible in order to get the best "price match" from my local tire shop. I end up getting them installed with all the extras for $700 out the door. There's not too much feedback out there on these tires so I thought I'd start a thread. I'll add to the thread as I put miles and different types of terrain encountered. I live in Michigan that gets hit pretty good with snow and ice. We also have very sandy off road trails as well as mud.
Surprisingly road noise is extremely low with windows up or down. I don't feel the "squirmy" effect usually associated with this style of tire during cornering.
At full turn of the steering wheel I do hear the knobs rub a bit. This was expected going this large with no mods to suspension.
I'll keep updating as time passes.

Those are sharp!!
Let me know how the work out, I was looking at the old style of the MSR but they were pricey so I went with what I know, the Cooper Discoverer S/T.
i was checking out those tires as well... im buying tires next thurs. i think im going with treadwrights after going back and forth between the kelly safari's and the treadwrights.

Will do, I'll be going up to Harrison MI and trek through Leola Trails in the next week or so. Plenty of sand through those trails.
What's the name of the trails you went through with the family in Gaylord or was it Grayling? Did they have lodging?
A little update on sandy, muddy, rocky and clay terrain. NEVER once got stuck!!
These tires clean out really well. Went through a pretty deep mud bog up to my headlights with no problem.
As you see from the pics Michigan has various types of terrain all in one area. This was done at "The Mounds" in Genesse county. Cost only $11 to enter and many miles or acres to play around. Many helpful people to yank you out if needed.
I know this pit don't seem like much for you veterans but for my first outing It felt great to conquer.
I want to go to that off road park too, been wanting for some time now.
I go in Gaylord, we stay at my mom's.
There is no name for it, it is just the Air Gunnery Range, lots of sand, and I mean LOTS.
Exit 172? off of I-75 (Waters exit), go east until it turns to dirt, pick up the trails any where you want.
Keep your eyes open for UXO.
Look close in this pic.
I have pics of the tanks and trucks they use for target practice but I cant find them right now.
