75th Anv. Model on BAT

This thing is minty fresh. Too minty for my taste. Still has the temporary tag.

And let the flipping begin...

same. I don’t think they’d be that bad at all if the wheels were black but holy hell those wheels look atrocious.

Maybe they were copying the original.

Not to be a steelies snob but it that 75tht had white steelies and a white roof it would look amazing (IMHO)

I am sure they were, but man, at a minimum go to the P300 and use the steelies then - like they did with the white ones. Or use the P400 with big brakes, but find a fix to use 18s on those. If we all can do by grinding calipers or switching, why LR can't? Those alloys do not go well with green painting at all.

I've long threatened to paint my black steelies Pangea; I'm a big fan of 70s-look body-color steel wheels on Jeeps. Here's my 2014 on my 16" wheel/37" off-road tire setup:

And street 35s on 17" wheels:

Wouldn't these look boss in Pangea?

But as good as body-color steelies look, alloys look just God-awful. It's embarrassing, that 75th Anni.

Here's a Jeep 75th Anniversary, for contrast:

Bronze wheels and bumpers, Sarge Green paint, 17" wheels. Looks great.

Oh, and this is the inspiration for my Jeep build, above. US Navy Jeeps.

@NoGaBiker Now you have my mind whirling. I wonder how Tasman Blue steelies would look on my truck? hmmmmmmm

Yes! Would love to see pics if you decide to do it.

I agree that while I love the idea of them doing the body-coloured wheels, it just doesn’t look very good on those alloys

MattF,
Matching steelies would look pretty awesome too, especially with the white roof

HMMMM this has me thinking now. My Pangea/white roof/white steelie P300 would be a fun way to test this idea...time to play with photoshop...
