Buy a Defender - get a book
 

A few days ago I picked up my new Defender and the dealer gave me a really cool coffee table book about the Defender in a nice Land Rover Pouch with a tool kit. I know there are 100's of books about the Defender and its history but this one tells the story of the old Defender complete with specs then the story of the New Defender including the evolution of the design, features etc... Over 250 pages, very well done. If you love the Defender or have a coffee table book collection I think they are available from the dealer, likely soon online. I will surely own this book longer than my Defender but its nice to have.

Weirdly, the spine looks to be printed reverse of every other book on my bookshelf.

EDIT: looks to be $145-150 on eBay. :( I did find it for 72 pound sterling plus shipping, or 5900 Thai bhats. I may wait to see if a used one comes up anywhere for cheaper.

I got one but it was fully analog with no HUD.. Actually I am really looking forward to this book! My D90X hits Baltimore tomorrow fingers crossed...

Huh? I didn't get jack $hit after spending $100k+ out the door....:thumbsdown: Glad there are dealers out there that actually go the extra mile to make the purchase special.

Truth be told we bought a Range Rover at the same time which probably helped.

They don't have to work for a $100k sale. Too many other people are ready to buy it. Pretty soon they're going to start interviewing buyers like we're trying to get a kid into a good kindergarten.​​​​​​

l read through a similar book and all it did was to make me want to sell my new Defender and buy another old one
