No Lift tire size guide (work in progress)
#121
So, here's a post from back in April, with a fellow member, with virtually the same vehicle as mine. As you can see, he put 275/65/18 on his Steelies....according to him, no worries, no lift. The pics are at access height.

Thanks all for the input. I ended up putting on Nitto Terra Grappler G2s in 275/65R18. I liked that they are slightly lighter than some of the E rated truck tires, but still carry the XL rating. I haven’t gotten off road yet, but no noticeable noise increase compared to the Michelin tires. Plus they are snow rated. So far I’m happy with them. And no rubbing, even at access height.

Aftermarket wheels/tires for 2021 P400 D90..?
Hello boys,
I am having a time trying to find the right aftermarket wheel and off road tire for my 2021 P400 D90 First Ed. I want more rubber and less wheel on the ground as I have some rather nasty roads to travel 8 months a year. The 20" OEM wheel "sticks out too much" and is doomed to abrasions....18's don't fit on my model, I tried one anyhow since other models listed 18's, 19's....(I tried a JNC wheel at 18x9 with a 35 offset, No go. Wouldn't fit over the brake/hub and a suspension part in the way tooo)) Anybody tried a 19" wheel? I'm grinding my teeth

D400s have bigger brakes than D300s, hence the unavailability of 18s. However, 19s are optional on D400s — I don’t know if every 19” wheel in the world would fit, but the OEM 19s are free options on D400 so you should be in good shape there.
Finding much choice in rubber in 19”, however, is a different story. I’m used to 17” wheels on my Jeep, and in fact, I actually used 16s for my big 37” bias ply offroad tires, so I wanted lots of rubber and less wheel, just like you. 18s would be great because the Wrangler Sahara JK, of which hundreds of thousands were sold, came with 18s so there is a nice selection of 18” rubber for offroading (though not as good as 17.) But since they won’t fit, I checked out 19, figuring even that 1 extra inch would help, and there just aren’t any tire choices.

My P400 wheel problem for "more tire, less wheel"
I uh had a dumb moment. I was only looking at my rear wheel....I see now why there is no way to downsize a wheel on a 2021 Defender 90 p400. This (I haven't yet looked to see just what this suspension part is, I will here asap) is in the way and I can't imagine offsets to clear this little dandy, as it's inside the wheel. So...20's and not much tire to play with unless a lift . Ehhh

Yes, there is no way to fit 18's, 19's on a P400 D90. I posted a photo of my front tires and wheel. There is a suspension part right inside the wheel itself, so only 20" and above will work. There is just about zero tires sizes to play with and as yet, I don't know much about Land Rover lifts. I have air suspension ....So, that's why I'm here to see what hacks are coming around. I just want more tire and less wheel for the off roading. I didn't buy a Land Rover to just drive to the outlet malls. I may be kicking myself for selling my go anywhere FJ Cruiser. All that $'s sitting in the D90...ehhh. Thanks for your input!

You can safely remove that hockey puck thingie, it's a single screw holding it (I assume some sort of harmonic dampener) in place. My 110 P400 came with 19" factory wheels and that chunk of metal wasn't installed upon delivery. Removing it will allow you to fit 19" factory wheels all around. 18" wheels won't fit, but the issue will be the rear calipers, not the fronts.
