P300 VS P400 Highway Driving
#31
All:
As promised, I finally got around to pressing the throttle on the P300 all the way to the floor, while towing 1000 lbs and passing a truck on the interstate at 70+ MPH. The pedal has some type of indent, you can feel it in you foot, which one must push through to get to the floor -- I found that interesting.
Past the indent, the motor expressed anger as it geared down to 6000 rpms -- breaking the stately, easy-going mood. But otherwise, no harm done. It did not whine nor lag the request.
For the remainder of the trip, all was calm and peaceful at below 3500 rpms. Gear shifts remained decisive throughout.
