Thanks! I was using this as an exercise to learn this Shapr3D which is a very cool and powerful 3D modeling program. I’m sure someone who knows what they’re doing could do a much better design but it was a first try.

I actually am already using that space for a UHF/VHF radio that I installed.

I can send you the 3D file for your son to have a look at just let me know what format and I can see if I can export that.

 

OK, messed around a bit more, added some buttons and guards to the rendering.

 

Hmmm... So we're down to $750 plus sweat equity and a 3d printed part.
